STORY BEHIND EC

THE EC STORY Everything happens for a reason n a cause. Nothing happens by chance, its all destined. People come into our life who are chosen for us for a purpose. The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience, help to create who you are and who you become. Same thing happened when Gaurav, Kirti and Shalu met on a Facebook food group and after initial interactions; they got thick n started talking virtually every day. It was a friendship that grew in leaps and bounds. When Gaurav left the group and wanted to open a food group of his own, they decided to stick together and go ahead with the plan mooted by him. Gaurav sowed the seeds of the group on the 28th of August, 2014 with a few members which kept growing slowly but consistently. New members found the interaction and activities interesting enough to add their friends and due to its growing popularity mainly propagated by mouth to mouth publicity suddenly the trickle turned into a tide n the group was flooded with joining requests. Members were added after careful scrutiny of their profiles. The group was growing in leaps and bounds!! Even hundred members a day at times. In just 6 months they are over 6500 members. Along with Gaurav there is always a hidden food lover in each of us. We love to eat out, try new dishes, cook for our loved ones and every occasion in life is celebrated with special food crafted befitting d occasion. Cooking to us means constant experimentation and innovation. Hence, the name Experimental Cuisines. Though it was a Gaurav’s brainchild but the entire “Think Tank” jumped on to the bandwagon wholeheartedly, to nurture & take it to new heights. EC started as a result of growing n now evergreen camaraderie which continued to remain intact with the growing number. People join hands as family, friends and well-wishers and become a part of the extended family which is extremely interactive and cohesive. Thats what make EC different from other food groups. Admins take a strong interest in the members and the activities. The core team now comprises of like minded 8 friends who support each other tremendously. It was no more just social media network for them but like a classroom and training center; a continuous stream of not only learning of- cooking as well of human psychology n sensitivities, also exploring different skills from different part of the globe EC appreciate talent in all form blogger or a home cooks, every member is equally appreciated, encouraged and pampered. EC documents recipes, hold interactive events and contests and restaurant reviews. Members exchange ideas and helpful cooking tips. Team keeps innovating and creating and looking for ways to make EC more interesting and gripping. The admins and the whole team is highly approachable to each and every member, they are free to discuss their opinion about the group and their suggestions are always welcome for the betterment/evolvement of the group. At any point in time at least two or more team members are present on EC monitoring posts. Today EC is a face of 6500 + members who come from different backgrounds of religions, regions, cultures, class, emotions and feelings. Its not always easy to keep the birds of different feathers flock together and cohesive but with the wonderful understanding within the team and with the support and love of the members EC is on a path of steadily growing day after day.

Hi I am Gaurrav Dhody, a complete foodie at heart. Food for me has always being like ART which depicts the inner me. I walk, talk, sleep, drink and dream FOOD. I just love to cook different cuisines and also experiment with food as for me it is a complete stress buster. Food gives me immense happiness which is beyond anyone. Experimental Cuisines is just not a GROUP for the sake of it but a baby whom I and my friends have nurtured with love and care. I love this phrase “you want food respect it”, something I have been following for long. I am personally thankful to Facebook for giving people like us a place to unwind ourselves with the via media of FOOD GROUP. EC has changed my complete outlook towards life as I see it very positively now and love it. I am the Admin of Experimental Cuisines.

Hi I am Kirti Gupta, a food lover at heart, who loves travelling and trying out different cuisines. Mealtimes in my home is a time to look forward to, bonding over food, sharing the day’s events and catching up. I am a gardening enthusiast and having been brought up in Lucknow inculcated “tehzeeb” and a love for food. EC has definitely changed me for the better. I have learnt to be more patient with people. It has made me understand that each one of us can teach the other something new and unique. It has made me realise the value of friendships even more. I learnt to be more receptive and open to ideas I would reject outright previously. I am the Admin of Experimental Cuisines.

Hi, I Shalu Dhar come and hail from the heart of India and the hindi heartland, Jabalpur, M.P. Happily married to a corporate honcho, a mother of a 12 yr old daughter. Having been brought up in a defense environ and spent more than half of my life there has a lot of impact on my personality and psyche I am an extremely friendly happy go lucky, sports loving person, also a fitness and nutrition freak and a witty humorist. I have a passion and flair for cooking, I love to recreate, improve, experiment and improvise any cuisine/food I come across. EC has given a huge fillip to my culinary creativity and my colleagues and peers there at have helped and honed my cooking skills and besides in them have found my long lost camaraderie which I always longed for and looked forward to. Hi I am Surbhi Gupta a cherubic, self motivated and cheerful personality who seamlessly blends into a team and synergizes her efforts to bring about positivity in the team results. EC helped me understand group dynamics of Life and Relationships in a better manner by reiterating my belief that- One should not meet, interact and understand the other person before forming an opinion and not believe in what the world thinks or says. EC helped me experience relationships more closely. And of course, the enthusiasm for food, cooking and learning has increased manifolds. I am an Angel of Experimental Cuisines.

Hi. I am Rajeshwari Pathan. A peace loving, full time mum to two my angels and I am passionate about food, movie and EC. I love travelling and exploring different parts of the India and its cuisines. I am also an entrepreneur and run my business from home. My only priority is to look into the well being of EC as I love to work here.
